St John The Baptist Kindergarten

St John The Baptist Kindergarten has been part of the Bayside community since 1954. At St John’s Kindergarten, we have a strong commitment to the local community and pride ourselves on our warm, reciprocal relationships with the families within it. Our experienced and caring educators offer three and four year old kindergarten programs in a safe, secure and happy environment.

We celebrate the diversity and individuality that exists within our kindergarten community, valuing each child’s unique race, religion, gender, personality and abilities.

We believe that children thrive in an environment where they have ownership, and feel a sense of belonging and joy.  Our play-based program is derived from holistic approaches and takes into account our aforementioned belief that each child learns differently. Our programs provide an integrative balance between structured and spontaneous; child initiated and adult directed learning experiences.

Our open-ended and stimulating environment is primed for learning to unfold, incorporating elements from nature into our program. Our curriculum is underpinned by the Victorian Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality framework.

St John The Baptist Kindergarten has been rated as Exceeding National Quality Standard. Information about the National Quality Standard.
