ECMS is the winner of the 2023 Emeritus Professor Collette Tayler Excellence in Educational Leadership Award.
The highly regarded honour was announced on the 9th of November at this year’s Victorian Government’s Early Years Awards.
The Victorian Early Years Awards celebrate educators improving the health, development and wellbeing of Victorian children and their families.
We’re especially honoured to win this category, and for our coaching initiative for ECMS early childhood educators to be recognised at such a high level.
Professor Tayler was a trusted advisor to both the Victorian and federal education departments.
Her work influenced and raised standards and the direction of early childhood education and care reform, across Australia.
Since the inception of our coaching program in 2019, our practice has strived to do just this.
We’ve modelled a way of being and doing through intentional deep listening, reflection and review.
The impact of this practice is reflected in our outstanding National Quality Standard ratings, with 62% of our centres rated as over double the national average.
