About us

Our beautiful, purpose-built three-room kindergarten is located on the grounds of wirrigirri Primary School in Wollert, providing families with a state-of-the-art early years facility in Melbourne’s growing northern corridor.

At wirrigirri Kindergarten, we offer an engaging play-based learning program for multi-age kinder groups that nurture curiosity, build friendships, and foster self-confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.

The name wirrigirri (pronounced werry-jerry) comes from the Woiwurrung language of the Wurundjeri people and means ‘messenger,’ reflecting our commitment to communication, connection, and community.

We look forward to welcoming you to wirrigirri Kindergarten.

ECMS acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the first inhabitants of the nation and the traditional custodians of the lands on which we live, learn, work and play. Aboriginal people have a long tradition of teaching and learning through sharing their connections with country, community, language and culture. We recognise their continuing connection to the country, and we pay respects to elders past and present.
