Annual Early Childhood Professional Conference; a typical agenda
is a full day conference with choice of approximately 10 workshops
(attend 2), an early childhood professional key note speaker and
trade fair.
World Forum Trip; an all expenses paid trip for an employee of
ECMS to attend the World Forum on Early Childhood run by Childcare
Exchange (2007 – KL).
Jeanette Taylor Scholarship; The Jeanette Taylor Scholarship was
launched in memory of an ECMS employee. It is designed to encourage
staff to upgrade their skills with $1,000 towards a relevant course
of study
Extensive support and professional development for all staff
As a not for profit organisation the children, families and staff are
the primary consideration for the service
Guidance and advice from a specialist support advisor. As an additional
support to teachers and assistants the spechialist support advisor
visits the service and provides guidance with additional needs
children, assistance with reports and referral is provided.
For childcare staff:
All kindergarten teachers working as kindergarten teachers in childcare
services are employed under the MECA (2001)
Rostered days off are provided for full time staff – work a 40
hour week and have an RDO a month
Specialist cleaners clean our services every
night not the staff!
Cooks are employed in each service to deliver nutritionally
balanced food that meet the needs of the children in the service
