ECMS managed kindergartens
Our services stretch from Ararat in the Grampians region to Epping, Rosanna and Merlynston in the northern region to North Melbourne, and also westward to Hobsons Bay, Moonee Valley, Brimbank and Bacchus Marsh. 39 kindergartens are currently managed by ECMS.
ECMS managed childcare centres
ECMS operates 7 childcare centres (some incorporating kindergarten programs) throughout Melbourne including Werribee, Maribyrnong, Footscray, Hoppers Crossing, Fitzroy, Box Hill and Melbourne City.
ECMS family day care
Family day care offers quality child care for young children in the home of a registered care provider. Full time, part time, before and after school care, casual care and respite care is available.
What is different about our childcare services?
- Individualised, developmentally appropriate programs
are provided for each child; covering numeracy and
literacy, music, cognitive development, fine and gross motor skills and all areas
of early childhood development
- Community involvement is welcomed, with parents invited to join a committee and have a voice in the service
- Specialist cleaners clean our services every night not
the staff!
- Cooks are employed in each service to deliver nutritionally
balanced food that meet the needs of the children in the
service.
- Program planning time is provided above award
requirements.
- Extensive professional development is provided for all staff.
An annual calendar of free, regular professional
development plus a full day conference
each year.
- No childcare fees are charged for public
holidays.
- The service is supported by regular visits from early
childhood specialists providing support and advice with
staffing, programming, maintenance, regulations, parent/
family issues, committee issues and behavioural/child
developmental issues.
- All kindergarten teachers working as kindergarten
teachers in childcare services are employed under
the MECA (2005).
- Staff are well resourced with up to date early childhood
information and membership of a variety of early
childhood organisations; FKA Multicultural Resource
Centre, OMEP and ECA.
- Scholarships & awards are available for staff.
- As a not for profit organisation the children, families and staff are the primary consideration for the service.
