Welcome to Ward Avenue Kindergarten!

At Ward Avenue kindergarten we have been nurturing, educating and helping children grow within the safe and social environment of our kindergarten for the last 50 years. Play is both an essential and fundamental part of learning, and in order for a child’s learning to be enhanced we provide an environment that is both stimulating and conducive to play, offering children a wide variety of developmentally appropriate experiences.

Our kinder is situated on a quiet street and boasts a large light filled play room complete with stage as well as a newly upgraded outdoor play area that is set in the shade of a beautiful mature garden.

Children are taught to respect each others' unique characteristics and personalities, whilst fostering their own creativity and self-esteem under the expert guidance of our talented and committed staff. Through a variety of experiences, discussions and play about daily living, children learn that it is okay to be different and regardless of gender, culture, religion and or disability a sense of empathy for the feelings of others is taught.

Ward Avenue kindergarten encourages children to take an active role in the care and promotion of the environment and all living things. The children learn positive methods of dealing with anger and resolving conflict which creates an environment that is positive and builds self esteem.
