About Us

St Albans West kindergarten was established in the late 1960s. Our stand-alone centre has been serving the community for over 40 years. It has the capacity to hold 56 kindergarten children.

• At St Albans West our experienced and qualified early childhood staff develop and implement a high quality program thru the children’s strengths, needs and interests.


• Our program provides children with the opportunity to grow and develop through play-the way children learn best.


• We have a large open indoor playroom and a uniquely large outdoor playground which is set in a natural environment with native trees.

We strive to:

• Ensure children develop in a warm, happy, safe and caring environment that caters for all children’s needs.


• Offer activities that are based informally around a variety of curriculum areas that enables children to develop to their fullest potential.


• Develop a centre which reflects children’s cultural identity and recognises each child as an individual with unique talents.
