How families can participate

Somers Parade Kindergarten welcomes and values the time parents and carers can spend with their children and staff at kinder during the week. The skills and knowledge parents and carers bring into the kinder allows it to function effectively with the assistance of local council, and through the guidance of ECMS.

Parent duty is always a great time to see what your child does at kinder. Children love to have someone special visit at kindergarten. We get to know parents, grandparents and special friends as well. The extra help gives staff the opportunity to work with smaller groups of children and focus on the individual needs of each child more intensely.

Our kinder gives all parents the opportunity to become a member of the Committee, who meet regularly with staff to ensure the learning program needs are being met, the kinder is always adequately resourced and families can feel a real sense of community through planned social activities.
