Welcome to McLeans Road Kindergarten!

Where children learn through play

At McLeans Road Kindergarten we offer age-appropriate programs for both three and four year old children in preparation for their transition to primary school and beyond.

We believe play to be an essential part of a child’s growth and development. Through play children learn new experiences, to create, express themselves and make sense of their world.

We offer experienced and suitably qualified staff who tailor their programs to suit the individual needs and interests of your child.

The kindergarten was the first in the City of Whittlesea to be classified as ‘Go For Your Life’ by the Victorian State Government, promoting healthy eating and lifestyle. Our kindergarten is located in Norris Bank Park, providing a natural and appealing setting with close proximity to local schools for your convenience.

Our program:

  • We provide a holistic program supporting a child’s sense of identity, community, wellbeing, learning and communication through play.
  • Our activities offer children many opportunities to explore, experiment, test their own ideas and pursue their own interests.
  • Incorporated into our stimulating program are many opportunities for your child to develop their fine and gross motor skills using many different mediums.
  • The kinder provides indoor and outdoor activities incorporating the natural environment and setting.
  • We also arrange a number of incursions during the year which complement and extend our program.
  • We value the importance of parental involvement by providing many opportunities for parents to get involved in the ‘life’ of their kindergarten.

We strive to:

  • Provide an environment that is happy, relaxed, inviting, enjoyable and encourages development.
  • Develop your child’s personal skills such as self-confidence, self-esteem, tolerance, communication, problem solving and cooperation in order to face the challenges of life.
  • Offer a range of activities which challenge and empower your children to reach their full potential.
