We aim for parents to:

• Feel welcome and comfortable in the kindergarten environment.


• Feel comfortable approaching kindergarten staff.


• Have confidence in both the staff and the kindergarten program.


• Be actively involved in, and support their children’s development.


• To be actively involved with the centre and the kindergarten program.

At Altona Kindergarten, we value and celebrate your help and contribution to your child’s Kindergarten experience.

At each session we need 2 helpers to assist the teachers. This help includes preparation and supervision of fruit/snack time, reading stories, sometimes cutting out activities etc. Most of all it is a special time with your child.
