What is kindergarten?
- Kindergarten is a program for children in the year prior to starting primary school.
Why kindergarten?
- Kindergarten gives children the opportunity to grow and develop through PLAY – the way children learn best.
- Encourages and stimulates children’s development socially, emotionally, intellectually and physically.
- Allows children to explore the environment, whilst developing their independence, confidence and self esteem.
- Kindergarten assists children with their transition to school.
Our program:
- Provides educational experiences including early literacy, numeracy, music, drama, art and science.
- Empowers children to develop self esteem and confidence.
- Provide opportunities for children to express themselves through language, art and imaginative play.
- Encourages children to become more independent ensuring strong foundations for learning.
- Includes family and community into the curriculum.
- Assists children in developing a positive self-image to enable effective learning and development of positive social attitudes.
- The children are taught responsibility, independence and sharing skills during routines throughout the day.
- Teaches children to respect others, their environment, love for learning and investigating.
We aim to provide a developmental kindergarten program based on the needs and interests of
the children.
