What is kindergarten?
Kindergarten is a program for children in the year prior to starting primary school.
Why kindergarten?
- Kindergarten gives children the opportunity to grow and develop through PLAY – the way children learn best.
- Encourages and stimulates children’s development socially, emotionally, intellectually and physically.
- Allows children to explore the environment, whilst developing their independence, confidence and self esteem.

Our program
- Provides educational experiences including early literacy, numeracy, music, drama, art and science.
- Empowers children to develop self esteem and confidence.
- Provide opportunities for children to express themselves through language, art and imaginative play.
- Encourages children to become more independent ensuring strong foundations for learning.
- Includes family and community into the curriculum.
- Assists children in developing a positive self-image to enable effective learning and development of positive social attitudes.
- The children are taught responsibility, independence and sharing skills during routines throughout the day.

About us
At St. Vincent’s Early Learning Centre we offer an approved 4 year old kindergarten program for the children to learn and grow.
Our qualified and experienced early childhood teachers provide an educational stimulating program offering each child the opportunity to express themselves, explore diversity using problem solving skills and question their environment.
Our program provides children with the opportunity to develop all the skills required for a smooth transition to school.
