And from one mum, who was so pleased with us that she wrote to us after moving to another centre:
As a first time new mum looking to re-enter the workforce, I found the staff, processes and facilities of QV childcare made my transition back into the workplace easy. Now that I have moved to a local centre closer to home, I can see how the QV childcare’s structure and processes really facilitated the transition back to work for me and into childcare for my little one.
The orientation pack was thorough and contained the structure I required, from how to say good-bye to your little one to what to pack in their childcare bag. I appreciated the communication book as it provided a channel for two-way dialogue when sometimes the chaos of dropping off and picking up overtakes the moment and you forget to ask about particular things. I really liked the daily running sheets that were pasted in to the communication books – especially as my child was so young, I could see that they had rice/orange/pumpkin mash, drank/didn’t drink all her bottle, etc., times she slept, her general disposition and activities for the day.
I liked the ease and regularity of the invoicing and payment system (I used direct debit). If there were ever any discrepancies I was always made aware by a quick phone call of what was happening. There was also clarity up front about payment methods available, how the bond worked and when it would be returned.
The notices placed around the doors and lift waiting area also kept me informed of what was happening, eg. carers on maternity leave, new staff, etc. which is really good when you’re leaving you’re precious loved one in the trust of a team of staff, most of whom you have not met.
I also like the flexibility of the centre, I could come in to feed my child at lunchtime or if I had a late or early meeting, the centre was open.
I could write on further, but I hope this gives you a feel for the positive experience I had at your centre!
