Facilities at MRCC

We are a lovely spacious 60 place not for profit childcare centre located in Maribyrnong.

We cater for children from the ages of 3 months to 5 years.

We are highly accredited through the National Child care Accreditation Council; this process is independently reviewed every 2 years.

We at Maribyrnong River Children’s Centre believe in providing programs that meet the needs of individual children, their families and the community.

We as early child hood educators believe in interacting with children and creating environments that allow children to realise their own potential.

We have an active parent fundraising committee whom organise and run our yearly fundraising events - these provide the staffs to purchase equipment and materials for the centre.

Our rooms:

• Butterflies - ages 3 months to 18 months: 10 children with 3 staff


• Ducklings - 18 months to 30 months: 10 children with 2 staff


• Sunflowers - 30 months to 3 years: 15 children with 3 staff


• Busy Bees - 3 years to 5 years: 25 children with 2 staff

In our 3-5 room we have a qualified kindergarten teacher who runs a kindergarten program for eligible 4 and 5 year olds. This program runs for 10.75 hours per week in the school terms only.

All of our rooms are spacious, well equipped and have a very homely feel.

We have a maternal child health nurse and a community room which holds playgroup sessions for the local community.
