Empire Early Learning Centre believes in providing children’s environments and surroundings that meet the needs of individual children, our families and the community.
Empire ELC promotes the ability of children to make individual choices as well as times for small and larger group activities, enhancing self-esteem, respect and trust towards one another.
The team work collaboratively and facilitate programs based on the following agreed beliefs:
As early childhood educators we will interact with children, provide environments that create opportunities for children to be able to realise their own potentials created through decision-making experiences.
As a team we offer opportunities for children to establish personal relationships with children and adults outside of their family and encourage interaction with others.
Our program promotes the ability of children to make individual choices as well as times for small and larger group activities, enhancing self-esteem, respect and trust towards one another.
The team work in partnership with parents and record observations gathered of the children exploring their environment and present their findings in descriptive individual and room journals that include family contributions.
We believe that a statement of a centre’s philosophy changes as new insights are gained and practices evaluated.
