Watt Street Children’s Centre, part of ECMS’ not-for-profit network of early childhood education services across Melbourne, is seeking a passionate and experienced kindergarten educator to join its committed team on a part-time basis from February 2012.
Watts St Children’s Centre is a spacious, purpose built 70 place centre providing both a long day care and kindergarten program. The position will be from 8:30am - 3pm Monday and Tuesday, teaching both 3 and 4 year old kindergarten.

Part-time Cook - Bulldogs Community Children's Centre

Early Childhood Management Services (ECMS), Victoria’s leading not-for-profit provider of early childhood education and care, has a fantastic part-time opportunity for an experienced Cook to join the team at Bulldogs Community Children's Centre.
Bulldogs Community Children's Centre was established in 2008 and has already built a strong reputation within the community. The centre is committed to providing families with high quality care and meals to suit a diverse range of nutritional requirements.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in the preparation of children’s daily meals within a set budget. This Permanent position will be 30 hours per week, with shifts from 8.30am – 2.30pm Monday to Friday.
Some specific duties include:
- Designing and implementing seasonal weekly menus
- Preparation of nutritious cold and hot meals in line with dietary requirements and food standards
- Preparing alternative meals for children with allergies, intolerances and cultural requirements
- Preparing orders for buying bulk food
- Weekly shopping for fresh food within budgets
- Overseeing food safety plan and completing all associated documentation and logs
- Responsibility for maintaining, rotating and ordering kitchen supplies
To be considered for this role you must possess:
- Relevant chef / cookery qualifications
- Current certificate in a relevant food hygiene course
- Food Safety Supervisor and Food Handling Certificate
- Current Working with Children Check
- First Aid/CPR and Anaphylaxis certification is preferred
- The right to work in Australia
