Awards and Scholarships

At ECMS we pride ourselves on our community spirit in giving back to our staff and the community. We offer a number of scholarship and awards to both staff and early childhood students, recognising their contribution to the early childhood industry.

Jeanette Taylor memorial scholarship

Jeanette Taylor was a dedicated assistant who worked at preschools in Hobsons Bay for many years as well as being an inspirational member of the Altona community. Jeanette died suddenly on 7 July 2000 and has been greatly missed by all who knew her. To honour the memory of Jeanette ECMS awards the ‘Jeanette Taylor Memorial Scholarship’ each year. We offer staff the opportunity to be awarded $1000 contribution towards the costs of the recipient’s further education in the early childhood field.

ECMS scholarship and bursary program

In addition to providing learning and development opportunities for current staff members ECMS is proud to be able to support early childhood students who are currently completing qualifications in early childhood development. ECMS work with key universities and TAFE’s in Victoria to provide bursaries and scholarships to early childhood students. The program aims to assist in delivering high quality employees to the early childhood sector and to promote early childhood as a profession.
