2010 Parent Surveys Results
Thank you to all the families that took the time to complete their parent surveys, and congratulations to all staff on a fantastic result for 2010.
The ECMS Parent Survey is conducted annually by an independent organisation and provides great validation for the work we do, and reassures our staff that the families we are working with are truly benefitting from their hard work. We had a huge increase in the number of respondents thanks to the introduction of email invitations and online survey completion, which provides us with an even greater level of feedback than in previous years. We value all the comments that we receive and we share this feedback throughout our organisation as a means to motivate and inspire us all.
We are very proud of our results. Overall performance and overall satisfaction scores were outstanding, scoring an average of 4.40 out of 5.
Over half of our respondents gave their kindergarten or childcare centre the highest possible rating of ‘Very Good’ for overall satisfaction and overall performance.
Kindergarten and Childcare Centres shared similarly fantastic results:
- 89% of Kindergarten parents and 91.7% Childcare parents rate our performance as Good or Very Good
- 89% Kindergarten parents and 89% of Childcare parents are Satisfied or Very Satisfied
Our talented, trained staff rated highly in all areas, with average scores of 4.43 out of 5. Parents agree that our staff play an invaluable role, with 70% of our kindergarten parents saying they are the best feature of our service:
- 91% of parents rated our staff as good or very good.
- 93% of childcare staff were rated as good and very good.
Parents voted the best features of our kindergartens and childcare centres as happy children, great staff, and good location. In fact, 84.8% of Kindergarten parents and 79.9% of Childcare parents say the best feature of our service is that that their child is happy.
Below are a few comments received from happy parents:
Altona Kindergarten - ‘The attentions, dedication, care and developmental knowledge that Altona Kindergarten has provided for my son is of a profound nature. I'm extremely satisfied with the commitment the teachers have exhibited towards my child and impressed by their continual focus on providing an enjoyable, effective curriculum, plus their ongoing effort to add and upgrade whatever is needed in/on the premises. Very simply, in reference to this Kindergarten- my child and I are happy.’
Brookside Preschool – ‘The staff at Brookside have been fantastic. Over the last 2 years they have helped in developing my very shy boy into one who has confidence, progressed in his speech development and overall became surer of himself. I can't thank the staff enough.’
Bulldogs Community Children’s Centre – ‘The friendly atmosphere created at the Bulldogs Centre is a real credit to all the staff who work there. It provides a lovely sense of trust when leaving my child there.'
Keilor Village Preschool – ‘I couldn't be happier with my son's experience. His teacher and assistant are most wonderful ladies.'
QV Children’s Centre – ‘QV has been absolutely fantastic particularly catering to my child's allergies and also her very young age when she started at 4 months. My baby has been very happy. I have felt my child is safe, happy, nurtured and developed.’
