How it works
ECMS as employer:
- Employs staff, conducts performance reviews, manages human resources, payroll and leave provisions.
- Meets all obligations as per the MECA 2005 and Early Childhood Assistants award (1999).
- Provides training, professional development, staff meetings and staff conference.
- Offers annual awards and scholarship to staff and conducts annual surveys to ensure parent and staff satisfaction and that we are meeting community needs.
ECMS as licensee:
- Takes over the licence.
- Becomes the funded agency.
- Undertakes all tasks associated with compliance.
- Retains its independent incorporated status.
- Works closely with ECMS to ensure quality programs are delivered that meet the needs of the local community.
- As a member of ECMS, delegates have voting rights.
- Manage and control their own finances and fundraising activities.
- Receives bookkeeping support, including assistance with monthly financial statements, business activity statement (BAS) and budgets.
- In partnership with ECMS ensures that the kindergarten maintains its individuality and sense of community and has involvement with the team.
